This was a challenging hike for a number of reasons – it was hot, smoky, and humid, plus there were lots of bees and bugs. But the trail is in great condition because of all the trail work and maintenance (thank you!). I actually had fun on all of the steps! Unfortunately the views were affected by the smoke, but it was still scenic. It took me 6 hours round trip from the upper parking lot, and I logged just over 5 miles with about 2500’ elevation gain.

    Too bad about the smoke (and the heat, humidity, and bugs). I love this mountain, though. The views are epic!
