Beautiful Sunset on Piestewa

Perfect weather with a spectacular sunset! Went up on Saturday night. Made it to the peak with a good amount of daylight left. As I descended, so did the sun. The sunset ignited, morphed, crescendoed, then waned into darkness.

    Great shots, Richard! I was going to ask you for recommendations on time of day to hike this (or any of the other six). I’d love to get some photos like this.

      Thanks! Piestewa is great for sunset because it’s open until 11pm (according to current sign at TH). Camelback “closes” at sunset and they do enforce it, so I suggest starting around sunrise for that one.
