We arrived early before the heat and it took about 3 hours. Took the fire road which was steep and paved and not crowded. We passed 3 couples only. The mosquitoes were a nuisance for sure. Found some shady patches but not many. Parking was $10 for 2 hikers. $5 a hiker. Over great day outdoors!
