What a day! This was a short but fun one. You need to be aware at all times so you don’t slip or trip. Bring gloves with grip because the metal ropes are cold and slippery. Try to go during week and it won’t be crowded. I ran into fellow Hike Junkies and it was a great surprise. Don’t be shocked if you run into friends this is a popular hike.

The hike is only under 3 miles. But it will kick your butt. And you will enjoy every minute of it! This was my 6th hike on this challenge. I am now trying to figure out time to complete the alternative routes.

FYI- I also did what another hiker named Phillip on here did and completed the “Two for the Road!” journey. Two hikes in one day. Wasson Peak was around 8 miles and then Picacho was under 3 miles and on the route back to Phoenix. Worked out great if you have a whole day to spend hiking. Both are farther away so get it done all at once. Take lots of snacks and water. ✔️ You got this fellow hikers.
