Loved this hike! It was windy and cold when we first started but wind died down right away. Trail conditions were great, stream crossings were not bad, never got wet. The cabins on the trail were cool to see. The view at the top was amazing. .it was a perfectly clear day. It did get cold and breezy at the top as we crossed the observatory grounds to catch the trail to go down. It took about 7 hrs to complete the hike..about 3 1/2 hrs up…this included stopping at Sturventt Camp to grab a snack and use the restroom.
