My hiking buddy and I started day #1 early and set out on our first hike!  We counted a handful of piles of scat within the first tenth of a mile and counted over 60 by the time we summited!  Other hikers mentioned bugs being a nuisance. Perhaps they just weren’t out because of the time of day or perhaps my NH life has prepared me for them!  The summit offered lovely views!
