We planned to hike Friday but a heat wave is coming in so we hiked a couple days early. Perfect weather. Started at 8am. Took Volcan Mountain Trail up and 5 Oaks down. We liked the 5 Oaks Trail. Lots of shade. We saw a few other hikers and runners. Many locals with dogs. The hike isn’t too strenuous and the bugs weren’t bad at all.
