t was an unseasonably chilly day for August as we set out on our hike, the crisp air biting at our cheeks. As we climbed higher, the world below gradually disappeared, swallowed by the thick, rolling clouds. The trail, shrouded in mist, felt otherworldly among the empty chair lifts.
