If you’re looking for early season bare ground, this is a great hike on the MA/CT line. A few sections of trail towards the summit (especially in shaded areas) still had ice and microspikes were certainly helpful. A very approachable mountain with just enough elevation to make you feel like you earned it. Our day was partly sunny with light winds and temps around 35F.
