Windy and Beautiful

I hiked my personal favorite route- Azalea Glen Loop Trail-> Azalea Glen Road-> Conejos Trail->fire road and then back down the paved fire road.  There are lots of little turns and connections that can be hard to follow, but the route is listed on AllTrails if you want a map to guide you.  The way up is gorgeous with lots of trees and water flowing right now.  It was very foggy so unfortunately I missed out on the views today.  I don’t know what it is about this trail but it’s always VERY windy and significantly cooler at the top, even though you’re not doing a huge elevation gain.  I recommend lots of layers.
