This was an epic adventure. Did it over two days, with a 35lb pack, should have traveled lighter as my feet were telling me at mile 17 with still 6 miles to go. Difficult hike especially as you get above 8000ft, your body breathes in less oxygen and it can get to you if you’re not adjusted a couple days. Towards the end I went 1 mile in the wrong direction, big mistake as it was one of the steepest elevation drops over 1 mile. Had to suck it up and march back up that 1000ft elevation (normally no problem, but with 35lb on my back, it was a SLOG), which is how I took a 6000ft elevation hike to a 7000ft one! Lesson learned, check your map a little more often!
