Ravens and Swallows on San Jacinto

Saw a conspiracy of ravens on the way up the Deer Springs Trail. (Don’t know what they were conspiring about, but a few were certainly talkative.) All around the summit, dozens of tree swallows were darting to and fro. Beautiful day overall. Talk a long route for extra challenge: a lollipop from the Deer Springs Trailhead, up Deer Springs, summited, and down Wellman’s Cienega Trail. Saw some folks at the summit, but saw only a handful of humans otherwise on trail.
