traveled out to Frazier Park to beat the heat in our local mountains!

alltrails listed this hike as”closed” due to the Gifford fire but according to NPS website it is  open. Drove out on a Sunday morning… They are doing some roadwork and paving so there’s loose gravel up to about 1 mile prior to the parking lot…other than that there’s no issues with the drive.

the trail is in great condition ..some downed trees but the forest service has kept the trail clear. the weather was perfect 57° at the start and 71 at the end…much better than hundred degrees in LA!
