An Epic Mt. Tam Route

Two weeks out from backpacking the Tour du Mont Blanc in the Swiss Alps, this hike was the perfect lead-up.

I’ve hiked many trails in this area that intersect parts of this route—once purely motivated by pancakes at the West Point Inn—but this was an epic out and back route that truly delivered all the best parts in one go (I forwent the Matt Davis Trail loop option on the way back).  It does get uncomfortably crowded in sections, though.

We capped it off with a stop at Sol Food for some absolutely mouth-watering Puerto Rican food.
