Mount Tamalpais

A couple of thoughts:

(1) This was my first hike as a 58-year-old.
(2) Imho, the Indian Fire Trail is one of the steepest trails in the Bay Area, if not the steepest that I’ve run across. Even steeper/harder than The Shortcut at Henry Coe, the Washburn at Joseph Grant, or anything I’ve done at Mt. Diablo.
(3) I’m happy to report that, despite (1), I’m still fit enough to hike up (2).

fwiw. From the trailhead on Escalon Rd., I included a loop in Camino Alto and Horse Hill Preserves, hence the 16-mile round trip.
