Mt. Tamalpais Majesty

Gorgeous hike from Stinson Beach through a lush forest! Many stairs to climb during some parts, but worth it for the diverse plants and flowers we were able to see. Saw some banana slugs along the way and hiked along a flowing stream up to the summit. At the top, our group was rewarded with magnificent views of the Bay Area, ranging from San Francisco to Mt. Diablo in the East Bay. Trail is well maintained and there are clean bathrooms when you reach Pantoll. Unfortunately the gift shop we saw was closed, but there were a few water refill stations we encountered at the campgrounds. Our group hiked and climbed 18 long miles. Not easy, but so worth it for the lush diversity of plant life and the gorgeous views of the SF Bay Area at the peak!
