Really beautiful day. Rolling hills and fantastic views the entire time. While no clouds directly overhead, there were clouds visible over the LA basin. About halfway up there is a little flat area – someone placed a canister with strawberry peak written on it. Hmmm – obviously not the peak as you can still see at least 3 peaks you have to traverse ahead of you! Gorgeous cover in the beginning stages of the hike, but there is no shade the last few miles. Not a problem on a gorgeous chill spring day (temps in the 50's), but I can see this being tough on a hot summer day.
