I arrived at the trailhead later than a planned between 8:30am – 9:00am, by then the parking lot was full and I had to parked down before the bridge. I'll admit, this trail took alot out of me it was steady incline all the way to the top. Along the way the views of the high desert (Apple Valley, Hesperia, The Cajun Pass, etc) was breathtaking. I took more short breaks on this trail than any of the other trails I did. I usually just power through to the top disregarding the pain in my legs. Nawww, I wanted to savor the experience. At about 5 miles up my phone blacked out on me, most likely because of exposure to the sun. So, while using Alltrails I lost nearly two miles of recording. On top of that, I may the wrong turn and got lost. Luckily, i retrace my steps and got back on the main trail eventually taking that last steep +200ft up to the top. The views were spectacular. I felt powerful at that moment and shortly after I was exhausted. Took me about +4 hours up and +3 hours down. It was nice and sunny, in fact, by the time I got back to my car it was 82 degrees. Overall, I loved the hike tried to take Ontario Peak but glad I didn't because that would've killed me.
