This was my first time to summit Mt Baldy. Got an early start and went up Ski Hut/Baldy Bowl and down Devil's Backbone. Wow what gorgeous views the entire time. Trail was really crowded until Skit Hut then it thinned out to the summit. But very crowded again down Devil's Backbone with people heading up. Narrow trail at that point so it was a lot of stop and go to let “oncoming traffic” get by. Took me just over 5 hours to hike the 8.5 miles as tracked by AllTrails. There was still some snow at the peak.
