On July 20th, 2019 my husband and I hiked Mount Baldy. We started at Manker Flats and followed the trail to the ski lifts and restaurant. It seemed most people were taking the trail towards the ski hut but we enjoyed going the way we did. Unfortunately my husband got stung by a bee and he is semi-allergic. Luckily he didn't have too bad of a reaction so we were able to continue with the hike. The devil's backbone wasn't as intense as I had expected but when the trail narrowed after that I learned about hugging the mountain! The final push to the summit was tough! Just when I thought I wasn't going to make it we were there! The views were amazing at the top. I felt like we might have gotten lost on the way down it didn't seem right according to what we had planned through our research but we finally made it down. It was a great hike!
