The day started out misty and hazy, and we were up very early based on some wrong-time-of-day traffic estimations, so we weren't super happy about a long hike ahead of us. Once we got there and got going though, the initial trail was an interesting rock formation and some fun steps.
This opened up to a fire road after .8 miles and was all decently slopped switchbacks for the rest of the way to the top, with a quarter mile steep finisher to the peak. Shortly after we got onto the fire road we were above the clouds and the views were amazing. In the morning just the hills were peaking over, but as we were coming down the clouds had burned up a bit and we got great views of Napa & Lake counties on either side of Mt St Helena.
