From all the rain this past week, the trail was more like a creek and the surrounding rocks hovering over you were flowing waterfalls. The area of this hike is beyond any words of beauty. With the rain, it’s as if you’re hiking next to a rushing creek the entire couple miles in. Tiny tributaries from all over flow onto the trail making it feel like you’ve stepped into a whole different world. Absolutely loved this hike. Driving in I was not anticipating an approximate 6 mile drive on a dirt road.. however I’m not one to turn down a challenge and walk away.. so I made my little Lexus IS put on her mud pants and get to work. This was a sure sign it was going to be a phenomenal hike, and it did not disappoint in the least bit. The trail was decently trafficked when I went at 2:00pm. Temperature wise, at the coldest point it was 52°. After 2:00pm you don’t get too much sun exposure to keep the exterior warm. If I had started earlier and wasn’t so cold, I would have liked to hike past the finishing point. I plan to go back out at some point to do a bit more exploring. Amazing hike!!
