🐏 Ontario Peak with a Pup

What a stunning hike! Ice House Canyon was beautiful as always, nice and cool going up, and then we were greeted by the most stunning cloud inversion near the top. I had never gone beyond the saddle before so I was really happy to explore Ontario Peak for my first time beyond. Kelly Camp was so cool and peaceful! I’d love to do that as a backpacking trip one day.
Natalie joined us for this hike, which was really special to me. Since I usually do these things solo, I really love it when my partner or a friend chooses to tackle these challenging hikes with me. It was so much fun, and made the hours/miles melt away fast.
We caught a glimpse of what we THOUGHT might’ve been a bighorn sheep prancing away into the brush, which was unfortunate because it was Inari who had spooked the animal. I was distracted and not paying attention, I will have to be more vigilant in the future so she doesn’t disturb the wildlife too much. Luckily I was able to recall her in just a few seconds, but not before the animal ran away.
All in all it was a really beautiful hike, and made me look forward to going back one more time for Cucamonga one day!
