Today is a BIG day for us! We will hike two peaks before the day ends… and on my BEST FRIEND’S BIRTHDAY 🙂

Peak 2 this morning is Picacho Peak, start time 10:00am. Weather was beautiful, high in the 80s. The trail was a bit crowded but that was to be expected on such a beautiful day on the weekend. We had plenty of room to pass people on the trail but was bottle-necked at the top portion with the last steep incline where you need to use the cables. The trail reviews recommended using gloves, I too would recommend having them for the cables as I did not have them.

At the top of the peak, we popped some champaign and sprayed it in the air in celebration of my best friend’s birthday!
