3-2-1 challenge with Sawmill Peak

Started later than expected at 8:30 am. Mt. Pinos was cake, weather was still cool. A lot of downhill afterwards and a steep climb to Sawmill. We breaked and snaked here. It was getting warm. More downhill and a steep climb up to grouse. Had to search around for the sign. The real challenge starts on the hike back out. It was a Butt kicker and the heat didn’t help. It was around 74 but felt warmer. Little shade.
