3-2-1 Sawmill

The weather was beautiful for hiking. This is peak #2, and I’m already looking forward to doing this one again! We were greeted with beautiful scenery, tons of old wildflowers and some still blooming, snowberry berries and wax current berries galore, and fresh, crisp air, along with a peregrine falcon at the the Sawmill summit. Originally we were just going to do Mt. Pinos and Sawmill, but we ended up getting over to Grouse Mtn as well, just because. Had fun checking out the USGS benchmarks at Mt. Pinos. Trail was a good condition. Really appreciated the switchbacks! The trail was pretty empty in the morning, but by afternoon we were seeing more people.
