We had originally planned to go on a different trail, but changed our destination and ended up leaving late, just after 8:00. It was a sunny day, but the temperature wasn’t too high, and the pleasant air made it easy to walk. We were able to see the peak at the halfway point, and were struck by the magnificent view.
