Hiked with a group

Trekked with 12 mates (Great Hikes Plus One – meetup.com), followed by well-deserved libations & eats at Siren Canteen, under the lifeguard tower at Stinson Beach.

Started at 9am & finished at 4:45pm.   16.6 miles with 3,707 feet of ascent.   Cool, foggy, misty/almost rainy at times.  No clear view from East Peak that day.    The route (see photo below of AllTrails route dwg):  Stinson Beach > Dipsea Trail > Old Mine Trail > Pantoll Campground > Stage Coach Fire Road > West Point Inn > Railroad Grade Fire Road > East Peak Visitors Center > Plank Walk Trail > East Peak Mt Tam summit > Plank Walk Trail > East Peak Visitors Center > Fern Creek Trail > RR Grade Fire Road > Hogback Road > Hoo-Koo-E-Koo Trail > Matt Davis Trail > Pantoll Campground > Steep Ravine Trail > Stinson Beach.   NOTE:  Highly recommend FINISHING with Steep Ravine Trail (vs. starting with) as the ascent is most enjoyable, even after a 16+ mile day.
