3,2,1 Challenge Complete

It was a chilly, breezy, beautiful Saturday morning, perfect to hike to 3 peaks in 2 counties on 1 day.  We started from the Nordic Station trailhead, the trail was well defined road, very easy hike to Mt Pinos. From there we winded down some switchbacks and then hiked back up to Sawmill Mountain. The view was really pretty. I loved the big rock formation at the peak. We continued to hike to Grouse Mtn but could not find the trail cut off, we ended up using my go’s device to find it and completed all 3 peaks.  Weather was 40 degrees at trail head with many strong wind gusts. It was chilly? overall a beautiful hike. I tracked 11.62 miles over 4 hours 55 minutes. 2067 elevation gain though it is likely more as you go up and down several times.
