Started before 6:00 AM, but it was already warm and abruptly hit 100°F by the time we reached the peak. There is absolutely no shade on this trail. Make sure to bring plenty of water. You definitely need a hat, long pants, and a long-sleeve shirt because the brush is very overgrown, and the final half-mile is full of sharp chaparral.
