Hiked with a group

Took the less road traveled on Maple Springs Road on our 4WD, then hiked up to OC’s tallest peak, Santiago Peak aka Saddleback Mountain. We didn’t see any other hikers and had the peak all to ourselves, saw couple of off-roading guys, met Forest Rangers with broken down truck ????, a handful of bikers….and SWARMS and swarms of gnats (thank goodness for head-net). ???? We were down the mountain by Noon, then lunch at @tacomesa. Yum! Great way to start an awesome weekend!
