5.6 miles my @$$

Well, we did it! We finished number 6 today and it was a doozy! I almost gave up a couple of times but somehow found the energy to make it to the top. All Trails says this hike is 5.6 miles, but my polar beat logged it as 6.9. It felt long. And hot. And difficult. And the drive in wasn’t super fun either. However, the views from the top were spectacular and the cool quartz at the top was worth the journey. It wasn’t just cool to look at, but it was also literally cool to the touch – which felt great after the hot hike up. It was a long hard day, but I’m glad we did it. But I’m also glad we’re done! Happy to close out another hiking season and our first 6 pack of peaks. Thank you for holding this challenge!!!
