Trailhead canyon view trail

This was the last of the 6 for me- and it was a bitter sweet moment. i started at sunol instead the other way just because it was closer to where i lived. the trail map was super easy to follow up. i started a little before 8 am (they opened the gate a little after 745. it was only 5$ to park. it was pretty windy most of the hike but once you get into your first mile it begins to warm up. the fog was beautiful and the climbs not as bad as i anticipated- but it is a long hike so packing a lunch is probably a good idea. the views from the top were beautiful and there is a bench and table up there so you can rest before you head down. it took me 4 hours to get there ( got there a few minutes before noon) and i made it most of the way down without much problem, but around post 17 i did run into a bob cat which kinda freaked me out and i tried taking a different trail back but i got a little confused so i just went down to the little Yosemite area then back to the visitors center thru the main trail. the bob cat really thru me off so i spent around 6 hours getting back just trying to figure out where i was going, but he was very nice didn’t go too much towards me or anything just mail messed with my head. lots of cows on the way up, saw a woodpecker, and some very pretty blue birds and eagles. it was a beautiful hike- finished it in about 10 hrs – would love o go back and make it an overnighter.
