Hit the trail at 659am for a bonus hike #7 for the winter challenge, Flatiron. Parking lot was already filling up. Many people on the trail though more so during the descent. First mile is relatively pedestrian. Second mile starts to get serious. Third mile plus is extreme with class 3/4 scrambling. Relatively easy to stay on the trail with many white and blue blazes on the way up or otherwise see where people are going ahead of you. When in doubt, always stay left. Use small trees for leverage in spots. Completed the round trip in 3:44. My third time completing Flatiron.
