A Day at Mt Wilson

This would be an easy hike if it wasn’t so darn long!!!  Honestly, there are no particularly challenging sections, there’s a good amount of shade and there are flat parts for you to catch your breath.  It just goes on forever.  With that said, it’s unbelievably beautiful, especially this time of year.  It was also uncrowded for a Saturday.  Note- the Cosmic Cafe was NOT open, even though the website said it would be.  I planned to eat at the top and didn’t really bring enough snacks to sustain me for the whole hike. There were a few other hikers in the same position so it meant we all raced back down to the bottom instead of getting to make a more leisurely descent.  It wasn’t the end of the world, but I would definitely plan to pack in all your own food just in case.  There was still bathrooms and water at the top, which was nice.
