A devil of a hike…

It was a bit warmer than expected so I don’t think I drank enough water on the way up and ended up cramping (badly) about quarter of a mile from the summit, so much so that I even talked to a ranger about getting a ride down.  There were great patches of California poppies along the hike

Thankfully a really lovely couple was extremely helpful, insisting I rest using their portable chair and even rub the parts of my leg that totally seized.  They were so kind and waited for me to feel better and we walked down together.  So big kudos to Ojala and Thilak!  I have paid it forward and provided help/water to others in need when I was hiking in Yosemite.
