A full weekend in Marin County

Volunteered with my Sweetie for half of Saturday at the Double Dipsea race, managing parking, runner road crossing and the like. Though it would have been great to get our hike in after that, somehow, standing mostly in one place most of the day was more tiring than moving, so we were spent and decided to do the Rock Springs hike on Sunday. Found clean, affordable accommodations in San Rafael to spend the night and headed for Rock Springs (a short ways past Pantoll Ranger Station). Weather was decent and you just can’t go wrong hiking in Marin – as long as you stay out of the way of the cyclists.
