A Peak Above the Fog and Clouds!

We decided to make a quick backpacking trip out of this hike. Thursday afternoon we hiked the Sunol McCorkle Trail to the Sunol Backpack Camp. We stayed in the Cathedral site and had a great time hanging out and making our camp dinner. Friday morning we backtracked and dropped our big backpacks at our car and picked up our day packs for a trip up Mission Peak. We hiked the Ohlone Wilderness Trail which is a steady (but not too steep) hike uphill. We arrived at the peak in time to catch the sun burning off the fog for an amazing view of the sun, fog, clouds, peaks and hills. Wow! Just magnificent!!!
