Amanda & I were not feeling it but knew we were on “crunch” time with getting these hikes complete.
First few miles produced a good sweat… but once we trailed onto the firewood. Golden. Gradual incline.
I actually loved hiking on the fire road. A change up from the constant rocks, bouldering that can wreck havoc on the ankles.
It was chilly at the top . Lots of fog rolling in. Great benches for lunch … we weren’t really feeling the “hangout” vibes.
Loved seeing the Palomar Observatory.
Fun Fact . The tallest Lookout in SoCal? Maybe all of Cali?
A bonus. Mistletoe sightings.
