A Sweet Day for a Summit

I really enjoyed this hike! The temperature was comfortable for a coastie like me.  I wasn’t able to find the exact trailhead near Sunrise Lodge, but started up anyway and eventually connected with it. It was surprising to see how different things looked this year with so little snow! There were lots of friendly people out on the trail and I enjoyed conversing with many as we passed by each other.  The clouds were on the move! It was really cool watching them blow by.  If you weren’t careful, it would be easy to lose your way.  Even though we weren’t able to see Broken Top or South Sister from the summit, we did find an inspirational message and the summit marker at the top.  It was good day!
