A Tram Good Hike

I have hiked San Jacinto twice from the Marion Mountain trail, so I was ready for something different when one of the leaders of a local hiking group asked for people to join him on a hike from the tram.

Plus, one of my goal hikes for the year is Cactus to Clouds and this would give me a chance to see how much I will be cursing to nature during the last 11 miles.  However, I am not a big fan of the tram so the whole ride I was thinking, Is the extra 2500 feet climb in elevation from Idyllwild really that bad?

In short, I always love the San Jacinto summit so I definitely enjoyed this hike and getting to hike with some new hiking partners. The day was beautiful and was a great day to be in nature.
