Above the Smoke on South Sister

Started at 5am and had a few mosquitos tag along through the treeline. Started warming up right around the higher lake but luckily a nice breeze kept things cooler while tackling the red mile and taking in the view on the summit. Trekking poles were my savior on the way down with the lava skree. Packed 3 liters of water and drank all of it. Had a small nalgene as well with electrolyte water which was very helpful. Trail was easy to follow. Took 5 hours to summit and 3 1/2 hours to get down with going at a slow pace and multiple breaks.
