Afternoon at Volcan

When I arrived at Farmer Road there were a lot of cars parked but as it was a quarter till two, there were enough vacant spots that I had no trouble finding a spot to park. After parking and getting my gear and locking the car, I started up the trail. I met several hikers coming down although there were a few that were also going up. The weather was good, cool, not too windy. When I got to the summit I was the only one there. The concrete pillar that used to hold one of the benchmarks is now gone and the benchmark with it. The two benchmarks at the summit in the grove of trees are however still there. I took pictures, rested, then headed down. I got back to my car by sunset but still within daylight hours.
