Almost Deserted Trail
Also on this hike
The best way to wrap up the month, especially if a weekend is hiking of course😅. Being High Point as the longest in San Diego, there were only 5 of us committed to the cause. Overall, people on the trail were unusually low. Total bikers-4, other hikers-3, 1 offroader and a couple in their ATV.
Total hikers=8, hence the title. In SoCal’s standard, this can be considered deserted😁 especially that most of our trails here are always swarmed with hiking enthusiasts.
The weather was actually nice even if not overcast and sun was dutifully shining, there was a cool breeze most of the time. Made me wonder if I missed a memo but not complaining, it was peaceful.
At the peak, there was a manageable coldness that we were able to stayed there for an hour, enjoying the smorgasbord of snacks—fruits, breads, chips etc. but no protein bars of any kind lol.
Before leaving, as always, tons of photos, like it was our first time. In fairness, two signs are available to enjoy the art of photography this day😊
