What a great group of hackers…. Last minute change Due to the closure of the Williams Mountain on Friday 6/11/22. We headed over to knock out Kendrick Peaks Summit. Great trail a lot of switchbacks they get you up that 2851 aeg. in 4.15 miles up. Trail is filled with beautiful Aspen and pine along with new growth after the fire from a few years back. Got a chance to go up in the lookout tower. What great views of Mount Humphreys and looking down on the new fire to the north, and views of the surrounding mountain ranges from 10,400’ elevation. Up and back right around four hours with time to check out this century old historic cabin and grab a bite and relax on an old foundation just below the lookout tower. Overall a beautiful hike, glad we started at 8 AM it did get hot as we headed down.
