We should have brought snowshoes for the final climb to the top – we had about 6-8 inches of squeaky snow to trudge through. Very cold, crisp and beautiful. Saw hunters and then up the trail a bit we started seeing animal tracks of every size, elk, deer, bear and cat along with raccoon, rabbit and probably grouse or pheasant. The snow allowed us to see just how many animals live in that area.
