Another Perfect Day at Hot Springs Mountain

I love this hike and was shocked to find it so empty.  My friend and I were the only hikers on a sunny Sunday!

Just an FYI- the hike is NOT on public land and you must register and pay an entrance fee.  I highly recommend doing it in advance through the Los Coyotes Reservation website.  When you go to book, the permit will say it’s valid 8am-6pm.  When I arrived for my hike, I ended up chatting with the woman who oversees the hiking trails and campground for the Reservation.  She said the permit defaults to a set time, but you’re allowed to enter the Reservation and begin hiking starting at sunrise and just need to exit the Reservation by sunset.
