Ass kicking Mt San Jacinto

All I can say is surviving this hike with a partner and still speaking to one-another after is special! It was a perfect day for hiking. We started at 5am, reached the summit at           11: 15ish and reached our vehicles at 4 pm. This was my longest hike since taking up the activity 6 years ago. There was lots of beauty in the pain and agony and I learned I must prepare with more nutrition in mind the week leading into  Mt Whitney October 2nd. This was a beast of a hike and great prep for MW.
