Great day for a hike up Black Mtn! Started at Hidden Villa, with clean bathrooms and friendly people. Nice switchbacks in the shade for the first 1/3, then some moderate climbing for the second 1/3, then the heave-ho up to the peak for the final 1/3. Didn’t feel as strenuous as I thought it would be. Smokey day, but still had great views. The rocky peak was cool!
