Baldy from the Notch

I’m planning a Whitney summit in July so trying to get elevation exposure over length; thus, for this hike decided to skip the long way up and go from the notch. Weather was great, albeit pretty windy at spots. At spots along the backbone I’d guess it was 25-30mph. Temps were in the 60s and 70s through the morning, possibly getting to high 70s by early afternoon.

Loved the hike, except for the end where we missed the little side road and had to go down the ski slope. Hoping to be back for the moonlight hike in August, and will make sure not to miss that little trail. 🙂
